I got home from a F9/11 matinee
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 03:24 PM by Gothic_Sponge
It was great but sad! The theater was 90% full. The audience was mixed. I overheard the guy behind me say to his friend "Well, i guess it's good to see what the liberal view is too." Many people in the audience were gasping at certain points in the film. As if this was the first time they heard the truth. In the end, more than half the audience and myself applauded.

2. Oddly enough...
The BEGINNING of the movie and scenes from the night of the sElection choked me up the most!

I guess because it has been all down hill from there
and God knows I saw it coming)

911 and the war scenes were of course horrific and sad in general... but I just can't get past the feeling that the "world changed" on Nov 7th, 2000 not on Sept 11th, 2001.

I knew the day those planes blasted into the WTC towers and the Pentagon that the SOB had engaged in LIHOP or MIHOP.

I am glad the info is out there now (VERY glad) but on the other hand it was a very depressing realization to see everything strung together!

3. That was VERY sad and surreal
I just don't know how a diehard repug can walk out of the theater and not question their own party in some way.

4. me too
The reviews on DU pretty well gave me advance notice but I was struck by the great time everyone in Washington was having while U.S soldiers were maimed and killed in Iraq.Great movie, received a lot of laughs, gasps and applause at the end.Saw an American family (new york plates)wearing a buck fush t-shirt.I was revulsed when that woman at the white house talked about a setup.

8. Just got back from seeing it
myself. About 60% filled and audience did applaud at
finish. (Right here in the heart of Bush country.)
A must see for anyone with a mind, opened or closed.
As a Korean Vet ('52-'53) cannot and do not see the purpose
of war except in self defence. Don't recall movie but
remember quote "War is not hell, because in hell there
are no innocent bystanders." Cannot suggest strongly
enough that this movie is a MUST SEE.

9. We went to the matinee yesterday, too
and I'd say the theatre - in a fairly conservative suburban megaplex - was at least 75% full. Not bad for a sunny Tuesday afternoon. There were no surprises for me, watching the movie, but some of the audience was clearly stunned by what they were hearing.

Michael Moore, thank you. That's all I have to say. Thank you.

11. true- but Spiderman will be in about 4,000 theatres
Fahrenheit 9/11 will still have a high per screen average.

12. As I sat in my aisle seat in the back row watching the closing credits...
...a middle-aged couple walked past me. As they did so, I heard the woman say, "And they impeached Clinton over a blowjob."
