Ow! Ow! He was walking all around with spine fractures. Ow! (Formula One)
http://www.formula1.com/race/news/1811/723.html

The Williams team have confirmed that Ralf Schumacher will be replaced by official test and reserve driver, Marc Gene, at this weekend’s French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours.

The announcement follows confirmation by doctors that Schumacher has sustained two fractures in his spinal column as a result of his high speed accident at Indianapolis ten days ago. He will require a recovery period of up to 12 weeks and it is not clear when he will be fit to race again.

1. At least (hopefully) he will walk again
A friend of mine in high school was doing practice dives when the board snapped and struck him in the high shoulder area of his back. Friend goes under, swims back to the top, gets out, walks fifty feet before collapsing, never to walk, or use his left hand again. Doctors found it amazing he even made it out of the pool

4. Walking? I thought they put him straight in the ambulance
from his car. Or was he walking after the initial checks?
