Unatural act CAUGHT ON FILM!
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 06:33 PM by Hell Hath No Fury

What would John Ashcroft say to see such a perversion of nature????

BTW, that's my abby/tabby mix kitty Grrlie sleeping with her new pigeon bud Pidge Pidge. PP has been with me since just around 6 months or so -- I was hoping he/she/it would be rehabilitated well enough so that he/she/it could be released back to the urban homestead, but he/she/it just never fully recovered from the hip fracture. Flying is good, but the walking is not so good at all.

PP decided to take over the cat sling, and spends the day pooping, flinging the bird seed, terrorizing the other cats, and verbally chewing me out for imagined transgressions. He/she/it is bossy as hell.

Hopefully I will be able to release into the protected backyard I have soon. My carpet can't handle much more of her. :)

1. Your going to find that bird under your bed one day.
The cat will leave it as a gift.

4. I thought so too!

When I first let the pidge out of the rehab cage, I watched my cats like a hawk. It was the pigeon who really laid down the ground rules. If any of the cats got too close or too curious, they were WAPPED with a mighty pigeon wing right in the face -- it's a pigeon karate move that is very, VERY effective. It took them around one week to get to the point where they totally ignore PP. :)

2. That's quite a pigeon you have, then!
Sounds like a bossy one.

Glad you got her hipped fixed, however liminal that fixing is, and that the bird is healthy enough to be feisty and rude. That's a good sign!

6. My Mom...
would visit and see PP limping around, really pathetic looking. She kept saying, "Maybe we just out to have it put down, it's too cruel otherwise."

And I'd say, "Trust me, Ma, this bird is JUST fine!"

Bossy as the day is long. If I'm five minutes late getting the bowl filled with fresh seed, man I hear about it. PP also does ruffled indignancy really well. :)
