Well, now I remember why I spend so much time in the lounge.
One visit to GD and I am lucky to get away without having my eyebrows singed off.

2. I actually spent a lot more time in GD and GD:Campaign 2004 tonight
than I have in the last month or so. There were some interesting discussions. But I know what you mean, it still gets a little hot in there!

5. Hey now, I think you did a fine job
you succinctly stated your opinions and defended your ideas. I tend to agree with you, so perhaps I am a biased poster.

7. Crap....now you made me cry.
Thank you for saying that. I know we are a diverse lot. I hope gave some people at least some food for thought at this point. There are some strong opinions and strong personalities on this site and from time to time, they will clash.

When the dust has settled, I just want us all to be on the same team working for the good of this country.

8. yes, I too want that
and I think it'll happen. You posted a great thread - in my opinion it is soo early in this election season to nit-pick our candidates. I am reminded of that famous quote "don't dig your own grave, someone else will do it." (seriously paraphrased) You are dead on in your calls for solidarity and I hope that we gorgeous diverse crew will heed that sweet advice. After we win, we can squabble.

6. Some People Discuss Issues
Others have fantasies.

The "Free Republic" hasn't patented "that one" yet.

10. I've said it before.................
I only go into GD when I'm looking for an argument, because one invariably finds me.

11. Amen. I expected one and my expectations were not let down.
But I said what I felt I needed to say. Now I simply have to have the serenity to deal with things as they are.

12. Its kinda fun....................
I like being able to say what I gotta say, but the testy-ness of GD keeps me away unless its an issue I have strong feelings for or unique knowledge about. Folks get mighty snarky in there sometimes.
