Suggest a good cordless phone to me

or tell me what the hell is wrong with mine.

I have a Sony 2.4 MHz phone that I like, but just today it started acting weird. The caller ID screen is just a blur when it rings, so it is utterly useless. Other than that, I think I can use the phone fine, although I haven't tried talking on it for an extended time. I'm thinking maybe the battery is dying, but, as I say, it functions fine except for the caller ID. I tried all the things Sony suggests--unplugging it, resetting it--but it's still the same drama. To top it off, Sony makes you pay $14.95 to talk to a real person, which I will not pay. And they have the nerve to call it customer support.

with a 30$ mail in rebate...excellent sound and great price with lots of features

Their phones are generally the best, you really cant go wrong with any of their models.
