Ever overhear two people talking at a restarant...
and want to grab them by the collar and shout as loud as you can "WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!"

Maybe its just me. Today I was having lunch, and I overheard these two people talking. Basically the corporate boy toy in Neiman Marcus and the comanion doll in her matching corporate power suit. The two went off about how "great it was that interest rates are going up" and this must mean we are in recovery mode.

AAAAAAARRRRRRGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Then the two went off about how "those clueless liberals" just can't handle Bush being such a gosh durned good president...and how "the liberal media" is dead set on destroying poor Bush's character.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Sorry, witnessing cluelesness in it's raw form can be maddening.

2. Yest'day, laundromat. Mother to 7 year-old - "all that fucking gum?"
Mother, to her 7-year old son - "why didja put all that fucking gum in your fucking mouth, anyway?"

Not screaming at the kid, just sort of regular tone of conversation, only mildly aggravated. Father sitting right there. Kid just looked at them both, chewing his mouthful of gum.

Walk away, shaking head in bemusement.

4. I can relate
we have to travel for the company. Some of these people think only in dollars and sound so stupid.

5. It's recovery mode for all of the people who live off of 'interest income'
It's 'devil time' for all those who 'pay' the interest.

So, did you trip the waiter/waitress as he/she was walking past their table? ;-)

6. Yes, but the best was when I was "listening" to a convo which
was saying a lot of things I said.

I was smiling and nodding my head in agreement. My wife couldn't see what they were doing, but she could hear them.

(BTW, most at the other table were enlightening a possible convert).

Anyway, one caught my nodding and drew me in. I talked with them for a while, initially embarassing my wife, who finally had to admit to them that I was saying a lot of what they were, and that most of the time I had the correct info!

7. My experience is not politics related, but...
I was in a restaurant with people and a couple at a nearby table were having a huge fight. Either they had recently split up or were about to.

She kept asking him "What if I told you I wanted to fly off to Germany tonight? Would you do it for me???" Ad nauseam in that vein.

Had trouble controlling the giggles. In fact, we ordered after-dinner drinks so we had an excuse to sit longer at the damn table.

9. yes
but eavesdropping is rude, so I always do my best to ignore what they're saying, and wouldn't dream of interrupting, no matter how wrong-headed they are.
