Alf the show WAS kinda funny, but giving him a spot as a talk show host is just, well, sort of another sign that American "culture", suffering as it was, is just one more notch further down the ladder to hell.

they couldn't use alf in the movie (copyrights, i guess) but there's an alf-like puppet that turns up in the dream sequences

marginally interesting tidbit about an otherwise shitty movie

12. They did that in the final season. No wonder it was the final season.

The early years were silly and cute, especially with the wacky neighbors... The father Max looked rather like my counselor.

But outing Alf and making him a celeb... just as bad as that awful cartoon show they made from it, along with Punky Brewster to keep the kids when the adults ran from those shows in droves.
