One of the MBL 'roid guys you never here about

Look at Roger Clemens when he was young. He was built like one of the Olson twins.

Now he is a well known "fitness fanatic" and built more like both Bush twins combined
(see image below)

Plus he has the huge anger management issues that are associated with 'roids.

Its clear by the speculation, lay person diagnosis and beer soaked logic I have laid out here that he should have an asterisk next to all of his acheivements.

I am now ready for my own Sports Talk Radio show.

3. According to all the sports experts on talk radio
anyone who does well after the age of thirty, has gained any weight or has ever had a temper tantrum is on steroids.

Thats why Im gonna do some and go out and lead the league in batting. It must be easy right?

6. Sports Experts...LOL
Believe me...with 3 kids under 10 I've had many a temper outburst..Plus... after 30 I gained 15 more pounds. Rodger's work ethic is second to none for pitchers.... I'm not a big Rodger fan but I admire the hell out of his carreer...

7. There are few players in sports that I begrudge respect more
but he is one of the best pitchers of all time.

It is interesting that in this time of massive offensive output that we would have so many all time great pitchers.

Roger Clemens --- Power, patience, prescence
Randy Johnson --- Has there been a more intimidating pitcher ever?
Greg Maddux ---- This must have been what it was like to watch Christy Mathewson
Pedro Martinez--- Nasty stuff, nasty disposition, gamer, a proud desendent of the Jaun Marichal school of Dominican right handers
Curt Schilling--- I keep waiting for his effectiveness to decline but he refuese to age.
Tom Glavine--- He's smart enough, he's good enough and gosh darn it, people like him.

And then there are all the new guys...baseball lives on.

As for you, with three kids under ten, geesh...

have a beer or six on me.

4. I wasn't aware that steroids helped pitching much
http://www.naturalstrength.com/steroids/detail.asp?ArticleID=1052

The hitters get the good stuff. The pitchers get to go to physics class. Creatine helps players recover from injury faster. It makes them a little quicker. It helps hitters tack on a little extra to those line drives. Growth hormones act like steroids, without the downside risks. Muscles are plentiful in baseball.

Nothing helps pitchers, they say. Their bodies are too complex.

Or are they?

Steroids could possibly help a pitcher's velocity, for they do increase muscle mass, but that wouldn't necessarily make a pitcher better. Debate exists among doctors if there is any supplement that would increase pitching velocity, given the complexity of the pitching motion.

5. I have more evidence against Clemens
than Cheney has against Hussein.

He has muscles therefore he must have done steroids. There is no other way to get them, right?

8. Clemens has an attitude problem, yes, but
he is not on roids. Roids hurt pictures. Too much muscle mass can hurt a pitcher's mechanics and cause him to lose velocity and accuracy. Most fireballers are tall and lanky. Clemens now just like Nolan Ryan had to do has developed good off-speed and breaking pitchers because he no longer has the velocity he used or at least can't keep the ball at high velocity for as long as he used to be able to do.

Roids in general are very dumb for atheletes as they can cause the muscles to actually hinder performance rather than increase it. I can see where where hitters would like to increase bat speed and power but pitchers? No way! Clemens would have to be a bonafide idiot to take roids.

What you have shown me is the aging process. I'm 36 and when I was 22 I was about 30 pounds lighter. I've never taken roids, but I have eaten too many cookies.
