My dear friend's dad was just found dead this morning
Mimi was such a rock for me when Alan died last month - she came over and sat with me afterward, she stood with me during the funeral, she took care of food for the reception. She just helped me so much, I can't even tell you.

Her dad lived down in New Orleans. They think he died in his sleep the night of July 4; that was the day Mimi's younger sister spoke with him. The police ended up finding his body in his house today after people couldn't reach him for two days.

I just feel so upset for her; I wish I could help her out more, but she is going down there with her two young daughters to take care of everything. I told her I would go with her to spread his ashes up by Snoqualmie Falls later this summer; he wanted that. I just wish I could do more. She's an amazing person and the type of friend everyone should have. I feel so bad. Thanks, you guys, for letting me vent (yet again).

1. So sorry to hear this,
it sounds like she has a wonderful support system in you. The only thing, as you know, is to just be there for her.:(

I feel so sorry for your friend. I'm sure you'll give her the kind of support she gave you. I know having you around will help her tremendously too.

Things haven't been going well lately (what an understatement!)

Just when things lighten up a little...Honestly I am constantly amazed at your resolve through these past few months. I can't say I'd be as strong as you...

 your way....
