books. And I'm watching episode by episode every night...It takes a long time to get through the whole Three Part Series...but it does my soul good and it beats CNN...

Nazi's coming to power? You got it! Roosevelt and Pearl Harbor...you got it! Concentration Camps in Part III you got it...but in greater depth than you will see anywhere else.

It's actually nice because it's slow, music is great and story is so incredibly interesting in that you really "get into" the characters.

Not recommended for folks under 45, unfortunately...:-( You folks under that age might enjoy it if you have the time...but it does take alot of time..

1. Hey!
I'm 36 and I remember watching every episode!

Ali MacGraw shows off those nice gams in at least one scene.

3. I read the book, "Winds of War" and it was great.
I didn't like the follow-up, "War and Remembrance." It didn't live up to the first book.

4. But, the "three part mini-series" is great. Lots of action and detail you

don't find in movies today about WAR and what leads up to WAR...

They used to rent the series, but now you have to buy it on Amazon or from "Critics Choice" video...but it's really good for serious folks, anyway...

Edit: btw, hubby had complaints that books jumped around too much for him..too many flashbacks and stuff...he loved the series because it pulled it all together. But...that's him, and I didn't read the books but loved the long "mini-series" in the time before the media felt "Spectaculars" were too expensive... They spent a bundle on the
Wouk Series...though. So much attention to detail..
