1. I thought fear was a manifestation of ignorance.
While I'll admit the Neo-cons are not very smart, I doubt they are driven by fear. I'd say they are driven by an overbearing sense of superiority which is a defense mechanism against their fear of being found out that they're a bunch of un-fuckable losers. OK, you're right, they are driven by fear.

2. Of Course They're Driven By Fear
Fear that now they're earning in the mid six-figures, that the government is going to want it's fair share to help pay for "socialist" programs like welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, Food Stamps, School Lunches, etc.

They're afraid they're going to get invitations to gay weddings, they're afraid their children will think for themselves one day, they're afraid of looking at the facts.

They're all still in a huff over Clinton getting a few blowjobs in the Oval Office. They feel that's a bigger act of treason than Cheney's office leaking Valerie Plame's name to the press, or Bush lying to Congress. So obviously, they also fear sex. We all know they're really afraid their teenage daughters are going to get knocked up by some guy named Mohamed. Because they fear all Muslims are terrorists.

I could go on, but it's late.

3. I disagree with all the posts so far...
Yes they are cowards when you get down to it, but they use fear as a tool to control the masses. Learn about Leo Strauss as he was the mentor of Wolfie, Clarence Thomas, and many of the other Neocons.

I think their goal is world domination with the use of military force, security of Israel, and corporate interests. I hope along with the rest of you they fail misreably....

4. I must disagree with your logic.

It is not cowardice to be afraid. It is letting your fear stop you from acting that is cowardly.
Being afraid is not important, it is what you do when you are afraid that makes you heroic or cowardly.
must add: George Bush, when pushed, runs away. like in the press conference and was pressed about his cozy love affair with Kenny-Boy Lay. This man is a COWARD...he can't face what scares him.
