1. A commune..
..is not necessarily several people in one house. Being an old hippie type, I've been in several communal situations, each very distinct.

I enjoyed most, but not all.

Hell, I live in NM, former capital of the communes. Damn those rat bastard Californians with their money. NM'icans are now reduced to being servants for their wealthy CA overlords in many places. Santa Fe actually passed a healthy minimum wage increase recently because the slaves couldn't afford to live any longer in the same vicinity as the masters.
