People in large SUV's who will block your way in the parking lot to wait for a space that will save them maybe 10 extra yards of walking - since that is how far away the next free space is, and I can't get there when...they are blocking my way...

People who don't tip, or tip less than 20% :grr:

2 great movies on at the same time, which is worse when nothing is on, because you can always read.

Using "Cheney" as a synonym for "fuck", which is one of the most versatile words in the language. His criminal name cheapens its value. I have never, nor ever will, use it.

People are people, and waitpersons can be as annoying or incompetent as the next person - probably because of waiting on rude and obnoxious people. That being said, I am NEVER rude - always friendly, and always leave at least 20% of the gross regardless of the service, because maybe I caught them on their one bad day. Plus, I am ultimately on the side of hard-working people, shit list or not. I reserve the right to be a contadictory asshole.

I don't have anything against parents and kids (my best friend and his wife are great parents, with kids to match, and my sister and her son are above criticism, being perfect and all)...

It's just that people being people... bam! The bad ones exaggerate the actual level of offense on the whole.

I always love driving down I-5 and seeing everyone slow down to look at the mountain. It's like, "Hey, where did that thing come from?" :D

I do have one great driving memory on I-5. Back when I was a newcomer in 1988, I used to commute very early in the morning from Everett to Tukwila (37 miles!). Traffic was manageable at sunrise then.

It was the clearest, crispest morning. I had the skyline coming up to my right as I passed Lake Union. The Cascades were purple, and Rainier was a bold cone with the snow just barely visible. The Olympics were breathtakingly sharp and white. The sun had not come up over the Cascades yet, so the sky still had a deep blue hue.

I felt at home then in my new city. That morning never did repeat itself.

The cell phone in the movie thing really pisses me off. Last week someone sat in front of us and, while their phone didn't make noise they kept messing with it during the movie. The screen was VERY bright blue and very distracting
