1. Yes, but when I eat two pints in one sitting, it doesn't really qualify...

But it is YUMMMMMMMYYYY....

2. Isn't that just a way of saying sugar-free?

I don't understand why low-carb became the magical phrase. Carbs are necessary for normal body function, fa-chrissake. Try running 10 miles after eating only hamburger patties and greens--it won't be so easy as having eaten a big bowl of pasta the night before. :D

Low sugar is a great idea, low-carb doesn't make sense to me.

3. True, even Atkins Dieters
Eat carbs. They choose the low-GI fiberous carbs as opposed to high-GI carbs (like sugar0

5. I guess that's too long for a slogan
But 'carbs are bad' is a scary implication for people who don't really follow the rules (I think good carbs are eventually added back) and just hear the hype.

4. Carbs are OK if they're complex carbs.

Say like fruit or whole grains. Sugars get into one's system, get burned quickly leaving one hungry and more likely to overeat.

One of the stupidest things is going low carb then eating lots of fat. Likewise low fat foods with added sugar. If one wants to lose weight they should cut back on both fats and sugars. And whether low fat or low carb junk food is junk food and should be avoided.

But if one is in shape and an endurance athelete then a low carb diet is one of the worst things to be on.
