I support some forms of abortion and gay marriage.

Excommunicate me. I don't give a shit anymore.

1. I think you have to be running against Bush for them to care enough...
... to make an example of you.

Amazingly though it's alright to be for the death penalty. Somebody better tell the Pope.

2. It's okay to send 1000 coalition soldiers to their deaths too.
I can't believe someone is actually trying to go through with this. Church attendance has been declining for thirty years now. The Archdiocese of Boston has probably been hit hardest with the sex abuse scandal and has covered up more than most now one of their own lay people wants to do this heresy thing? Unbelievable.

5. Not unusual
the church has an absolute opposition to abortion, but not to the Death Penalty, despite what many people believe.

6. are you sure?
I was almost positive they unconditionally condemned capital punishment.

this comes as something of a disappointment.

7. I"m sure.....
According to the Catechism (2266):

Preserving the common good of society requires rendering the aggressor unable to inflict harm. For this reason the traditional teaching of the Church has acknowledged as well-founded the right and duty of legitimate public authority to punish malefactors by means of penalties commensurate with the gravity of the crime, not excluding, in case of extreme gravity, the death penalty. For analogous reasons those holding authority have the right to repel by armed force aggressors against the community in their charge.

4. Not only are you a heretic,
but you espouse these unclean concepts on DU. You are clearly in league with Satan. :evilfrown:

By Order of the Inquisition you are hereby sentenced to be publicly burned at the stake until you are crisp.

Due to cutbacks, the burning will be B.Y.O.M.
(Bring Your Own Marshmallows)
