I found something odd in my Cheerios this morning
It's either supposed to be a spade, like on a playing card, or a little Christmas tree, and it's made of the same stuff as a Cheerio. Can anybody figure out what it's doing mixed up with all my donut-shaped Cheerios?

1. Christmas Cheerios?

They might've accidentally started the christmas cheerios run a little early... cross contamination?

4. I didn't know there were Christmas Cheerios
But I don't get out much. Maybe it was an experiment and they just dumped the results in the normal Cheerio bin. :-)

to the fabulous and magical Cheerio factory! You'll even get a chance to meet Chip Cheerio! You'll also have a chance to swim in streams of pure Cheerios and try out their new Everlasting Cheerios!

Bone up on your singing, as it will be required for you to sing any significant plot developments.

Just watch out for the Ompa-serios. They're a pain in the ass.

Or did you save it to send back to the company? If you do, they may send you a whole case of Cheerios as an apology. That's what happened to a friend of mine who once found a bug in a candy bar.:-)

27. I have saved it
I didn't want to consume it before checking with the DU brain trust. Being an object somewhat foreign to the concept of a Cheerio, I didn't want to assume it was edible. Besides it's kinda pointy.

I have emailed the manufacturer (see post #15) but they have no one in customer service until Monday. Even if I never get to meet Chip Cheerio, I fully expect a large truck with a year's supply of Cheerios will appear at my door in six to eight weeks. When I was a kid, a neighbor found a ring in a loaf of bread and the bakery delivered an entire truckload of the same bread as some sort of contrition for the mistake.

32. So like this gets better
I got a nice response back from GM saying,

Based on your description, it is possible the puffing guns did not attain the proper temperature and pressure. This may result in the condition you described. We appreciate that you have taken the time to contact us and will share your comments with the product team.

I didn't know the creation of breakfast cereal was such a violent act: puffing guns! LOL! I still think it's a Lucky Charms incursion. Anyway, they're mailing me a coupon. :D

Complained to the company and it turned out to be a piece of a conveyor belt.
Another time I was eating a sausage at a restaurant and chomped down on a hard object. It was a large PIECE of GLASS. Luckily, I didn't cut myself, but I got a free meal and all the beer I could drink that night.

Not a very good one cuz I haven't figured out how to work my new camera. But this should give you an idea:

The object on the right is an ordinary Cheerio; on the left is the foreign object, which I now believe to be an errant Lucky Charm. I think this photograph pretty much blows away the General Mills spokesperson's "cold puffing gun" theory. :D
