Thank god that GST check came today!


My bills are all due and the baby needs shoes and I'm busted
Cotton is down to a quarter a pound, but I'm busted
I got a cow that went dry and a hen that won't lay
A big stack of bills that gets bigger each day
The county's gonna haul my belongings away cause I'm busted.

I went to my brother to ask for a loan cause I was busted
I hate to beg like a dog without his bone, but I'm busted

My wife and my kids are all down with the flu,

The food that we canned last summer is gone and I'm busted

4. Starting next Thursday, I've got four weeks of severance pay coming...

...follwoed by about 30 hours of vacation time. After that, if I haven't found anything, I'll have to apply for Unemployment benefits.

In the meantime, I'll enjoy the summertime! :bounce:

2. Yeah, I think about that song all the time. I've been working as a temp

for way over a year since I got my degree as a paralegal. (What a waste of time I might add.)

I try to think positively, and keep telling myself all I can do is hold on as best I can. Too bad I'm behind in the old house payments. I've got enough money for last month's. Now I'm scheming and scraping for this months. The stress will be the death of me yet.

5. I am so sorry! I just went back to work June 16.

I was unemployed over a year. I got my first full paycheck yesterday, and it felt good to buy groceries and not worry over how I was gonna buy them on the NEXT trip into the store...

Be good ot yourself, and remember that even if you hated your last job, most likely your ego has suffered a blow just from being unemployed. This too shall pass, but it is a pain in the ass til it does!
