What's for supper?
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 05:59 PM by Cuban_Liberal
Here it's 'beer can chicken', hot slaw, baked potatoes and corn on the cob. Did I mention I made an apple cobbler for dessert?

:D

3. It's easy AND delicious
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 06:02 PM by Cuban_Liberal
You drink half the can of beer and shove the remaining half can up the chicken's you-know-what, after you have seasoned the chicken with salt, garlic (fill in your favorite spice). Stand the chicken up away from the coals and let it cook until done.

:)

4. We had tacos
and red beans and rice

oh yeah, and it's summer, so that requires that every meal include sliced tomatoes.

For dessert, I'm having a few apple martinis

20. My husband has been gone for almost two weeks....
and just got home last night. So, tonight he is taking me to La Perla restaurant to have dinner and watch the beautiful sunset. I'm having my favorite dish. Steak suisse!

It's a New York cut steak marinated in Mexican spices, grilled, covered with sauteed mushrooms and swiss cheese then stuck under the broiler long enough to melt the cheese. Served with refried beans and guacamole. After dinner we'll have a couple of Kahlua on the rocks as the sun sets.

I'm drooling just describing this dish because it is one of my favorites and I can't wait.

:bounce:

22. hi guys
how are you, CL. Missed seeing your posts. It is really hot and humid here, so we had corn on the cob ( I could live on this and real tomatoes in the summer) and salad and my son had mac and cheese as well.

PS. My birthday is this week and we are going to a restaurant here called Mallorca to have some Paella, sangria ( I love their sangria), and be fawned over by the hot waiters.

35. My kingdom for some Dirty Rice!!!!
That has got to be one of the most amazing cuisines in the world down there! I may be a Damn Yankee, but gawd, do I love to eat in Louisiana!!!

Pistolets? I've never heard of them! I am gonna have to look for them next trip down! In the meantime, I have got to make up a vat of Gumbo very very soon! (You DO know you go sterile if you go longer than 60 days without gumbo--right?) :)

Come to think of it, it has been WAY too long since I had any BBQ Shrimps too...

Thanks for the website info. I had to bookmark it!
