...Bush getting elected is the result of a massive nationwide bender. Basically everyone got fucked up before voting, said "shit...noone in their right mind would vote for this jackass, Why NOt! I'll do it." Next morning it was like "awah? Mother fucker won?" NAd we've been living in a state of denial ever sense.
