Here's a good question for my fellow DUers, but first some details:
Im 31 (will be 32 this fall), in good health, good job, some money in the bank (not billions, not million,s but I can pay my bills now) I don't drink, smoke, go to clubs, no drugs, haven't even been to Starbucks since..Christmas I think (and usually for a medium Vanilla Mocha). I like old movies like Rocky, samurai movies with Toshiro Mifune, Sean Connery as James Bond, classic anime like Urusei Yatsura, Akira, the original Gundam, an actual baseball fan (Yankees, yeah yeah, I know.and the Dodgers). I much prefer to cook for my gf thna just order take out. Not into the nightlife thing. Barnes and Noble insead of bowling night. And Xbox Live over hanging out wiht the guys all the time.
My gf is 41, a Japanese high school teacher, she's short er (5 fteven) wears glasses like me, likes many of the same things I do :) She just feels..right, ou know? Im going to spend a week or two with her in the fall, just to start making new memories of Japan (I haven't been there since July of 1991! ) One ex on the other hand is my age, taller (filipina) who's much more American, apparently well off with her family's business (but I don't care about that to be honest). And to be honest, I'd stay with my current 41 :-) The ex hasn't done anythig wrong (and if I put her photo up, it mght cause a riot here in the Lounge)..
But for me, somethings the best "fit" or let's say match isn't always the newest, flashiest, or sexiest woman. Beyond the pretty figure and eyes you have to find above anything else the HEART. You have to find yourself trusting that potential mate. Someone who keeps you focused, humble, but also encouraging. I odn't need or want any woman showerng m with gifts--a new Power Mac G5 would be cool--but no expensive cars or stuff like that. Because you can be become spoiled like that.
So am I old fashioned or an oddball for telling the young hot babe,"thanks, but I've found an older woman who has my heart and soul" ?
