Poll question: What PJ Harvey album should I buy next?
I disagree with many DUers on how bad the state of music is today (there will always be complaints about new styles and production techniques - though sometimes verses today could be less empty of instrumentation,) but I agree about how good PJ Harvey is. I have Uh Huh Her, Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea, and Is This Desire? I love the first two more than Is This Desire?, but Is This Desire is creative in a good way. What PJ album should I buy next?

1. I'd have to go with "Rid of Me"
That one has more of my favorite songs than any other CD of hers.

diversify instead. Get an album by someone PJ has worked with and/or recommended, like:

The Fall

Queens Of The Stone Age

any of Steve Albini's bands

Eric Drew Feldman-era Captain Beefheart or Frank Black

on edit: oh, and why is 4-Track demos not included -- that's her best work by far

5. Already have QOTSA
It's decent, but not really my thing. I'm a PJ fan, so I think I should explore her previous albums.

6. I have an "other" option
Though I think her work is often kind of demo-like to begin with - so that album may not be the one for me to get - thanks for the reply, though.
