FINALLY going to see "F9/11" this afternoon!
Anything I should look for, without getting all spoiler-y?

1. If you are a long time Duer. . .
. . .you will see a lot of things that we have talked about on the screen. Its not surprising but its evidence to back up some of the assertions we have made on here.

2. I am.
And I was hoping to finish reading "House of Bush, House of Saud" before seeing the movie, but I've still got 100 pages or so to go.

I'm sure there's a big difference between reading about events and actually seeing some of those things onscreen.

3. Thought so (that you were a longtime DUer)
. . .but one should never assume. Anyway you will see a lot stuff that reinforces what you most likely already know.

4. My brother (who's never seen a MM movie) is going with me...
I'm more looking forward to his reactions. I believe he votes Democratic, but we've never discussed politics that much -- he's not the wonk that I am.

7. That's great, I hope you get the same kind of reaction from him...
as I did from my very non-political partner. I hadn't discussed anything about the movie with him except that it was a documentary about the Bush administration. It was interesting to see just how angry he got during the film...he was one of those that was muttering under his breath throughout. He was most moved about Bush sitting in the classroom all of that time and I actually thought he would come out of his seat when that lady attacked Lila.

The movie was great for me but I think I took even more satisfaction from seeing his reactions. Twice during the week after we saw the film, he came home with a story about confronting an "asshole" that came into his shop praising Bush. That would have never happened prior to seeing the movie.

5. Try to follow the tangled web that is the Bush/Saudi connection
Bush's old army desserter buddy, the Saudi ambassadorship, the investments by the bin Laden family... It's amazing that this story doesn't get told in the press today. I think that's the main part of Moore's film: That the press doesn't cover these things, so he's going to do it. That's what I got out of it.

6. I'm willing to bet that you will learn something new
Even though a lot of the material in the movie has been covered here on DU. And the effect of seeing all that information in a two hour film can be overwhelming. I read in another post that your brother is going to see it with you. If he hasn't been following politics and alternative news sources all that much he will be very surprised by this film. Happy viewing and don't forget the popcorn with extra butter and the sodas.

9. You may ask your self -"Where is my royalty check?"
I think it should be called "DU- the Movie"

Great flick, but it is even better for folks who dont do DU style research.

You will enjoy- dont forget to buy a popcorn & coke to let the theaters know they are still making $$$$ off this.

10. Good for you!
As for spoliers: Bush did it! Or didn't, depending on your point of view.
