If you were really a player, I think you'd have spelled it correctly.

Nyah, nyah! :P

2. What, No Woodwinds?
Oh. Still not used to post '60s usage of the words "band" and "concert".

I sometimes get laughs from the stray rednecks who attempt to talk up sports to me at a watering hole when I reply, "I don't know anything about sports: I was in the band."

DU's own Shirley Manson wannabe.

Though in truth, my voice is closer to Deborah Harry's. ;-)

A true "lead singer" would've hogged the mic all night!

Plus, I prefer singing backup stuff.

My selection was not an easy one. How can one expect to come close to Bobby Vinton.

Michael and I both looked for you. We thought that maybe you were sleeping. Anything after midnight is late for me. I'm old.

33. Couldn't have looked too hard
I was downstairs behind the bar, making drinks for people. Forced servitude, even now. ;-)

Though I was exhausted, I came down with the stomach flu the next day. :-( Gave it to Michael, Tim and Kathy, too. 4 days of hell, but I lost another couple of pounds! Since you spent so little time talking to me <guilt, guilt>, I'm sure you were unaffected.

I didn't sing, as the extreme second hand smoke had completely trashed my vocal cords. Also, they always demand I do the most difficult songs they have, and I just didn't feel like being their trained monkey that night. Sometimes, I girl just wants to get accidentally drunk in peace.

28. All of the above (almost)
Bass (oh yeah), keyboards, percussion up to and (rarely) including full kit, marimba, mandolin, trumpet, pennywhistle.

And a boatload of guitars.

And I sing. (At which point Tom Ridge raises the alert to orange.)

36. I play whatever doesn't play me first.
I play guitar and bass acceptably, and I sing okay.

I play drums poorly, but am getting better.

I have also been known to try my hand at lap steel, accordion, keys, recorder, harmonica, bhodran, mandolin, and sitar -- all with varying degrees of ineptitude.

37. Guitar
Lead, if you have to call it something. It's more like just spastic hate-noise, though. None of that "heroic" Eddie Van Halen dive-bomber solo nonsense. That shit's for suckas.

Lots of drummers, I see. Nice to see that -- Cleveland's in a pretty serious drummer-drought right now, lots of guys drumming in multiple bands.

40. I have mostly played drums in my bands
but also bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion, and have sung a bit of lead and back-=up. I can play a lot of things, just not amazingly well. No woodwinds though, don't have the embrochure. I can hang up posters too.
