1. Acrylic? Anyway, the thing isn't very wide...

Glass is better, harder to scratch (though I've done that), won't yellow after a couple of years...

I wonder how they deal with algae and other problems. :-)

I'd feel sorry for the fish confined to the thing. There's a lot of length which is cool, but little width...

The fish wouldn't feel comfortable either unless there were plenty of hiding spots. Even with tanks with a solid backing they can get fidgety...
