I wanna be a forensic anthropologist! Why?
I was watching Bill Moyer's NOW. The last twenty or so minutes was Dave Brancacio interviewing a scientist named Clea Koth. Author of the book "The Bone Woman".

WOW!

They were talking about genocide and crimes against humanity.

I found it difficult to concentrate on the topic. This woman is defies explanation.

No doubt some are going to call me a chauvinist pig. So be it! Flame away!

1. my niece got a job offer
from the state police crime lab as a micro biologist/forensic anthro but she found out she had to watch an autopsy so she turned it down..

2. She was incredibly impressive, I agree
and I'm a heterosexual woman, so this goes beyond her looks, I can assure you! But, I hope you aren't just fixated on her physical attractiveness... She really is remarkable in so many ways.

3. I read an article
in a magazine called "CE" for Civil Engineers, that chronicled a murder that ended in a land fill. To become a forensic anthro takes a strong stomach.

4. You and every boring idiot young person who watches CSI
Edited on Sun Jul-11-04 08:51 PM by Bombtrack
it's the new "in thing" that so many unoriginal, unininteresting, unspectacular conformist people say they want to do. It's scary. A few years ago it was psychology, now it's this. And maybe like 3 percent of those people will actually end up doing it, and only half of them will be good at it.

Just to clarify, I'm not including you with the rest of these people. Chances are much more likely that you're more serious if you were watching a news show rather than CSI

Second Clarify. I skimmed your post and didn't see the "anthropologist" part. But my point still remains about people who want to be phorensic experts/psychologists.
