sniff... I'm so proud to be an Australian...sniff...Sean Eadie's Olympic past and future are under threat in the latest cycling drugs scandal that also put a freeze on all Australian selections for Athens.
With only a month to the Athens' opening ceremony, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) today suspended the announcement of any more athletes for the Games until it gets the all-clear from doping authorities.
The men's and women's basketball and men's volleyball squads were due to be released tomorrow, but they will now be on hold awaiting confirmation from the Australian Sports Drug Agency (ASDA) that no nominees are under doping clouds.
Likewise Eadie's place in the team for Athens is on hold after the AOC and Cycling Australia (CA) served the 2002 world track sprint champion with an infraction notice.
