This is probably one of the *worst* IRC servers (continual DDoS)

I'd recommend freenode.net or EFnet.

Even Undernet would work.

I opened one on Undernet too. I totally agree with you about how terrible dalnet. Unfortunately I kinda HAVE to be connnected to dalnet as much as possible b/c there is a channel i frequent there that is very helpful to my work. Join me on Undernet then. It's just me in there.
