For once I had a great frigging day!
1 - I went to the dentist, got some pain meds for my toothache, and found out that all my teeth can be saved. I was expecting to be told that rest of them had to come out.

2 - The dentist bill was $50 less than we had been told.

3 - I got my car back a day early from my mom who was using it while her car was broke.

4 - And I had my favorite pizza (Pizza King) for dinner!

 time!

5. Let's counter this yin with yang ....
1) DIDNT get wonderful job making oodles of decent wages ...

2) DIDNT get business loan, and am now therefore hanging by a thread with my new business ....

But: I am glad for you ..... really ....

I am ....

Really ....

6. Considering what life has been like for me the past few months
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 09:27 PM by khephra
You'll understand why I'm glad to just have one good day.

Lets see...

1 - I fell off the wagon after being sober for 3 and a half years.

2 - I lost my job

3 - I lost friends

4 - my arthritis was so bad last month that I couldn't walk.

5 - and I now have blood pressure that's so high the doctor is afraid I'm going to drop over dead any day.

I hope your life gets better! No one deserves a sucky life...unless they're a Bush supporter. ;-)

21. everyone's good day is a bad day for someone else
And I pray to the various Egyptian Gods that still listen to me that you'll find happiness.

After so long of having a bad time, I guess I wanted to rant a bit (on the positive side, for once).

But every day is a bad day as long as we're under Bush's thumb.

Good luck to you and your business!

8. Yaaay You!!! Glad it went so well.
And very glad your teeth can be saved. That's terrific news. Everyone I know who has gone the false teeth route, has wished they had hung on longer...

Here's hoping the good days continue to come!

9. I have partials
so I have an idea of what full dentures would be like...and that's why I'm so glad I'll be able to keep the rest of my teeth.

Thanks!

12. Well, I did hear some bad comic book movie news
so the day wasn't perfect. ;-)

The newest idea for a Green Lantern film has one of my favorite actors mentioned as being the GL. Problem is, the studio is thinking of doing it as a COMEDY and they want Jack Black (who I adore, but is totally wrong for this) to be the Green Lantern.

:puke:

I'll be sure to send the vibes out to yah. You can't go having a bad life! Who else would I talk comics with? ;-)

:loveya: and get better, ok?

13. Hey, thanks...
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 10:12 PM by Dr Fate
...we both need to watch our health- take care of those choppers, hear?...Stress is a real killer- stay AWAY from it!!!

And just when computer animation makes it possible to but GLs powers on the screen- they do this.

I heard that the FF movie will be a comedy too...

You know what I want to see? A "Watchmen" mini series on HBO. It's the only way they could pull it off correctly...

Someone needs to start an e-mail campaign.

14. Thanks, 'cause You Give Me Great Days Every Day
and, for somebody who claims to have bad days, you certainly have mind-energy to be on top of everything. I wish I were sooooooooo smart.

15. I'm not sooooooooo smart, but thanks for the kind words
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 10:24 PM by khephra
If I was that smart, I would have never drank again.

I can speed read and have a lot of time on my hands. That doesn't equal smart. My long-term memory is shot, so I have to be in front of a computer to be able to answer most questions.

Mom didn't raise a dummy, though. And I raised my mom right too! (I converted her from being a Republican to being Anti-Bush in two months.)

If you think back, there was a time when I wasn't posting much here. I think two whole generations passed here at DU while I was "out of it". I smile when I think about the fact that there are now 1000 post people who have never heard of me...not that I'm claiming fame or anything. I've just been as much of a part of DU as Newyawker, Crewleader, or (gasp) Will Pitt, but for different reasons, of course.

17. I Think Back to When I Was New and You Were There
and I was intimidated to post here. Nowadays I wish I were more intimidated to post, especially on Friday and Sunday nights, if you know what I mean. And, yes, there are periods when you're absent, and you are missed, not only by me. I make a lot of sense in the daytime.

I'm glad your teeth are going to be okay. I've just finished getting a ton of work done on my teeth, so I know what a relief it must have been to get good news like that. I'll bet that pizza tasted great!
