6. LOL
Frigid? It's a mild 80 or so here... and it's GREEN instead of BROWN. When it snows in the winter (which is what it should do in winter), it melts quickly... no muss, no fuss.

You all are just jealous, which is why you gobble up too much real estate here.

Plus, we're predominantly DEMOCRATS up here.

Yep, pure rabid envy.

9. unemployment?
I have worked all but the first 3 weeks of the past year I have lived here, and now permanently. Seattle was way worse (a slice of heaven but with hellish traffic and economy), going months between jobs after a layoff.

Be jealous of Flag all you want, by WHY A SPRAWLING CAULDRON OF HEAT AND REPUBLICANS LIKE PHOENIX??? I have come to hate big cities the older I get. Life is too short for rat races and angry urbanite/suburbanite games of oneupmanship (like reading today that SUV and Hummer sales are UP in PHX, while in the rest of the nation sales are down).

Phoenix steals the soul. It is colorless, hot beyond redemption, and devoid of charm or culture. Unless malls count as culture.

I bet you are the ONLY DUer from AZ that thinks the place is worth a damn. The others live there because of jobs or family, and aren't all that crazy about it. (Gotta love how Catshrink calls it the Valley of The Dumb) I think it's a sickness to live in such wasteful sprawl, myself.

11. Not true
Here's another DUer from Phoenix (Ahwatukee to be exact) who finds good stuff to say about it. As for it being full of Republicans, I can honestly say I see more Kerry bumper stickers than Bush, and the BBQ at the Dem Headquarters last Friday was a blast! Huge turnout. Awfully glad we didn't have the duststorm then, tho.

4. Is the grill in the open or covered?
I've grilled steaks back in Alabama in the midst of a snow/ice storm on hallucinogens, so I say to hell with inclement weather if you're cooking out.

8. I'm in NM, it's been threatening to monsoon all day
It's so friggin humid, I wish it would just come already. If it doesn't rain today, it will just linger around for days & the swamp coolers don't do crap. UGH!
