Why it is not good to cook and iron at the same time |
|
Because if you only put in one and a half cups of water and the recipe calls for three and a half cups of water, and then the rice is ruined and you have to scrape it out of the bowl to start over, meanwhile in the other room a cat might bump into the ironing board where you've left the iron upright on top of the shirt you were half thru ironing when the bell went off on the microwave, making the iron fall over and leave a brown triangle on your lime green shirt -
I feel a little like Ricky Ricardo when he switched places with Lucy for the day and she goes to work in a chocolate factory.

I used to work in a kitchen - on days when we had grilled cheese, we took all the sandwiches that were left over, peeled off the cheese, used that for macaroni and cheese the next day, and we took the bread and made stuffing out of it.
