Hauru no ugoku shiro (Howl's Moving Castle) - Miyazaki's latest flick

It should be in theaters in the US next year.

I, for one, am stoked, And I don't get "stoked" often - truly.

2. I've seen Spirited Away a zillion times
I put on my DVD quite often. I've rented his other flicks as well but S.A. is my favorite. I tend to go for dark films so I think that's why I like it the best. Also, I think the artistry of S.A. is exquisite! Good to know I have something else to look forward to! Thanks for the tip!

do you think Spirited Away is darker than Princess Mononoke?

Have you seen Nausicaa?

4. Haven't seen either of those
the only others available to me locally are "Castles in the Sky" and "Kiki's Delivery Service" so I rented those and I think one other but I'm drawing a blank on the name. I've asked and they have more on order since he's become so popular. Which do you recommend most? If 'Princess' is as dark or darker than SA, I'm sure I'll love it.

5. Princess Mononoke is definately his darkest - you'll LOVE it!

It deals with the corruptiona nd greed of man over the sprirt world of nature - its very bizarre (not as fantasti as SA - but close) Before spirited away came out Mononoke was he most comercially successfull film in Japanese history - then "Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi" (SA) blew it away!

Thanks for the education. I've been meaning to look deeper into him and his work but I've been busy with work etc. There are very few recent films that have affected me the way SA did. I related to it on so many levels. Yeah, I definitely need to see more of his work! I've been thinking about signing up for Netflix so perhaps I'll get to see more soon!
