1. You have sneaked a seemingly random sentence in there
"How many laws were broken?" - you thought I wouldn't notice.

So? Were there?

3. Don't think I'm familiar with the Hatch act. Can you get it in a Prius?
Y'know - the hybrid Toyota - does that have a Hatch Act?

4. It depends.
I am a state government employee, and here she could have violated our work rules, and could be subject to disciplinary action. If you have contact with the public, wearing or displaying any type of political statement related to an election is a no-no. To play it safe, I keep nothing partisan in my office or on my car.

9. My old C.O. finally done in by Hatch Act.
Commanding General of Alabama National Guard.
It's a very "political" position to begin with.
He made some enemies over the years. He also "required" his full-time guard employees to kick in to an election campaign fund.
When the general said "jump", your only question was "what altitude do you require?".

Especially in gubernatorial elections, about 60% went to the frontrunner and 40% to the #2 guy. Hedging those bets.

A group of those employees finally filed formal charges and he was goners.
