My lovepiddler Abbott was all confused this morning |
|
He went back to his secret piss-spot and it smelled funny and had alumnimun foil all over the place. After meowing at me for about 2 minutes questioning what happened - he journeyed back to his litterbox and took a leak there.
Let's hope this works. I got the feline-away spray and Alumimun Foil is all over the place. I also closed my bedroom door today so he doesn't decide to use my bed as his new pissing grounds

I love that he sat there and complained! My cats do that whenever I disappoint them too. In fact, one is sitting here meowing his fool head off because I won't let him out onto the porch. Little does he know that it's raining out there and he wouldn't like it anyway!

has developed this nasty habit of coming into my room at 5-5:30 in the morning and meow until someone will get up and feed her. Of course I get up to put her into the cellar because it is just too damn early.

7. She usually wakes me up!! |
|
I am afraid, if I do it once or twice, she will expect it every day> I love her but still......... after I finally do feed her, she will then go up to my son's room, stand near his head and meow until he reaches over and adores her.

9. But that's not what your cat is thinking |
|
she's thinking "Now that you're up you might as well feed me" She has no concept that she was the reason that you were woken up. Cats are definately bizarre like that

11. Your cat's behavior may be a symptom of a geriatric disease |
|
I have an 18 year old cat, who suffers from kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure and cognitive dysfunction (senility). Starting a number of years before she was diagnosed with any of these diseases, she would occasionally wake me up early like you describe. Another thing she did occasionally was to sit on the bed and yowl like she was locked up in a cabinet or something until I went in and said her name loudly. Then she would stop yowling and suddenly see me with a very startled attitude - - like a person who just woke up from a vivid dream and couldn't figure out where they were.
My vet says that those were early signs of senility, which almost all cats get eventually. Your cat waking you up early could be an early symptom of senility or some other geriatric disease.
If you haven't had your vet do a thorough blood test & exam for geriatric diseases, you should. And the next time you take the cat for an exam, you should be sure to discuss any behavioral changes, because they're often a reaction to a specific disease.

14. I've got that problem too |
|
My cat's pissing on everything. The whole apartment smells of cat piss. I think I've got some on my leather jacket I wore this morning, which is wierd because it's always hung up.
