Why did Lestat get tombstoned?

It just came to my attention that the poster who went by the name Lestat has been tombstoned. I hadn't seen him around lately... Does anyone know what happened to him? Was he a lurking Freeper?

3. okay, I know nothing of Lestat but

here's a dumb question. . .just out of inane curiosity. . .how does one verify that another has become "tombstoned?"

6. I had PMed Lestat once...

and his response was still in my inbox. I was going to PM him again to try to make contact (he'd been absent from the boards for some time) and his profile was tombstoned. That's how I found out.

10. The tombstone graphic shows up in their profile,

instead of the usual stuff. Also, sigs and avatars disappear (although some people don't have either normally).

That doesn't guarantee they got tombstoned for disruption, though -- some people change their names, and ask for the old account to be disabled. The tombstone graphic is the same.

I got it tombstoned. I kept getting hate emails from freepers under that name, so I asked elad to tombstone it. :)
