I was just recommended the following software:
Adware Spybot Adwatcher
You've guessed it -- *$$$!!%%##$$ garbage keeps installing itself on my home computer, and I can't get rid of it.
Anyone use any of these?

1. My Spybot is outdated and would not update |
|
I just installed Ad-aware to get rid of the crap last week. It found 264 files that it deleted! To me, it is far superb to Spybot. I have no experience with the other one.

2. Ad-aware works well, but you have to run it periodically. |

3. Count me in as a vote for Ad-aware |

But run Spybot too. And I have good experience running Firefox Mozilla instead of Internet Explorer.
