Michiganders beware... I have my beginning driver's license!
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 08:59 PM by MIScott87
I got my Level 1 driver's license a couple weeks ago. I'm 24 weeks and 50 hours of driving with someone 21 or older (actually, about 49:25) away from my Level 2 license.

At level 2, I can drive alone at anytime from 5:00 AM to midnight.

Six months later... I get my full license!

Now that I've gone through Driver's Ed, I guess graduted driver's licensing isn't bad. After all, when my parents don't let me drive, I can say to them, but Mom, Dad, I HAVE to drive!" Most of you who've had your licenses for many years couldn't say that to your parents, could you? :P

4. True
but nontheless it keeps happening - in my state, seems like every week there's been another horrible accident involving teens.

3. Congratulations, MIScott87!
I know you're ok with it, but I'd really think that graduated licensing stuuf would be a drag. When I got my license I just went down to the bureau and took a drive around the block with a tester and that was it. Now that I think about it, maybe it does seem a little unsafe to give out licenses in that manner.

5. It's alright, I'm already afraid of Michigan drivers...
Even out here on the West Coast, you guys are infamous. I see you guys a lot less often since I left NE Indiana, though...
