I simply pointed out that I was more unique than any of them, seeing as I was holding out against a trend and NOT getting any ink drilled into my skin.

They couldn't even offer up an arguement to that one!

Actually, the tounge piercing did so much damage to the back of my gums that I had to get a bone and tissue graft. And that wasn't the worst of it, by far.

But I worked at a defense contractor that had a dress code prohibiting male employees from wearing earrings. It closed up before I knew it.

I got my ear pierced when I was a kid but stopped wearing it after everyone else did it a year or two later. It sucks when things become trendy, the whole coolness factor disappears.
