Hey, anybody going to Burning Man this year?

There MUST be at least a few DUers who are Burners. This is going to be my first time. I'm excited! Although I'm not quite sure what to expect, I'm sure it will be hella fun.

My project is, I'm going to be basically a mobile dance-music machine (I'm a keyboardist). Entirely battery powered. Do you think something like that will fly in BRC?

I'm a little hamstrung as well, because I haven't had time yet to really research it in depth (I've done the basic reading and talked to a couple people) or plan my costume (if I'm going to have one) or even program the beats on my drum machine(s). I'm studying for the bar right now, but that's over in two weeks.

So anyway, just thought I'd start a thread for a discussion of Burning Man.

2. I would like to go
I live in the Mojave desert, though I'm in the middle of a move to Toronto. When is it? If it's in the winter, might be a good time to come back for a while.

I think your mobile dance-machine thing sounds cool.

Good luck with the move to Toronto! I've been there once or twice, seems like a nice city.

5. thanks
Toronto reminds me of some of the good parts I miss of living in San Francisco.

And I think I'll give burning man a miss this year. It's still going to be hot as hell. I've had enough desert heat this year. Hope you have a nice time.

3. It's something I've always wanted to go to,
but not this year, sadly.
