1. okay!
here's a picture I took with an instamatic in Vancouver BC, March 25 1975...(the wonders of photoshop!)
Can you guess what song they are performing right at that moment?

(Hint: those are clouds on the screen backdrop and they moved by as the song went along!) :)

8. No Quarter
They carry news that must get through
To build a dream for me and you
They choose the path where no one goes...

9. ding ding ding! Kashmir it is!
forgive me but I still remember this concert vividly, it was one week exactly before I went into the Air Force boot camp! I was 17, as was my friend, we enlisted together and turned 18 a week later...we drove 250 miles in a Corvair to see this show with our girlfriends( was 17, mine was 15, they were sisters) we experienced Canada for the first time and got hassled at the border both entering and leaving...I guess it was an adventure, we were like adults! Led Zeppelin was all of ours favorite group!
Unfortunately once we were both in the AF we both got the "Dear John" letters but so it goes!

It was a great show though! This picture was the one that turned out the best so I thought it worth sharing!

10. Dazed and Confused
is a great one from Led Zeppelin's first album. We used to do the song in very badly in a garage band I was in. I still remember that great opening bass line.

12. great song!
they did that one at this show too, a 45 minute version, I loved the guitar bow thing, and they even incorporated Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock" and that helped me see why Robert Plant considered Joni a prime influence...

His voice was interesting, it took him him a couple songs to warm up to the higher notes ("Rock and Roll", their first song, had him not at all singing like the lp version! A much lower and deeper tone like on "Going to California")...

14. I was a bit young to be involved
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 10:25 AM by Maestro
in the heyday of Zeppelin. I started listening to them in '78. By 1980 we all know what happened to John Bohnam. Anyhow, I have subesequently seen Plant three times solo and Jimmy Page once with his short-lived band, The Firm. He did the famous bow thing with his guitar and pulled out his famous double guitar for a few songs.

P.S. Oh and I recently saw Plant on TV at an awards show and he has not aged well. The only one in the band that still looks the same in John Paul Jones who now lives in Canada.

15. Ever hear the original of this song
One of many that Page stole from people?

http://www.furious.com/perfect/jakeholmes.html

I have a whole tape of all the songs that Page snagged.

16. Yeah
I know that there were many songs swiped from blues artists. I am not sure why they did this. I know they credited some of the them but certainly not all.
