Ted's Montana Grill: Ever eaten there???
And if so, how are the bison burgers? I'm curious to see how they stack up to regular burgers...

1. I've had Buffalo burgers at Trader Joe's
Fantastic. Lean as can be, and much tastier, believe it or not.

2. They also have a bison pot roast that is really good....
Bison is great when cooked "right." An added political bonus is of course the fact that Ted's refer's to Ted Turner, who remains the lead owner of these restaurants.

I'm just curious.

You can get buffalo burgers at Wellspring... er.. Whole Foods.

11. That is a nice mall
I've only been there a few times though. I'll have to check out Ted's though from all the responses.

4. I've had Bison Burgers in a few non-chain entities...
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 01:20 PM by HuckleB
in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming over the years. All darn good, usually a step up from cow meat. I'm a bit stuck up, and usually don't go to chains, excepting local ones, so I doubt I'll go to Ted's. I want my money to stay in my community, and, I have to say, that, when I've had to go eat at chains (with relatives or friends), they just don't stack up as well in terms of quality or price, so why bother?

7. Inside info
Their food is great and they hire real good quality chefs and people.
I have a friend who works in the recruiting department of the one in downtown Atlanta (the one that crazy Uncle Ted has a penthouse above). He's there all the time too. If you're ever in town, come on over...I'll treat for lunch.

9. I had bison last week
at this little luncheonette when I was on vacation in NH...my dad had an Ostrich burger. And I gotta tell you both were so much better than ground beef. IF you have the chance, try one

10. Also great to make at home
It's a little more expensive than ground beef, but much leaner and more filling. You can usually find it at most health food stores (at least west of the mississippi). It's great for grilling. :)
