Denver Nuggets Pick Up Kenyon Martin For 3 Draft Picks |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 04:26 PM by Magic Rat
6 p.m. conference call to announce the trade, per ESPN.
Wow - Denver has instantly become one of the scarier teams in the league. They now have a front line of Carmello Anthony, Kenyon Martin, Nene Hilario and Marcus Camby.
That's quite a frontcourt!
As a Nets fan, I'm disappointed to see K-Mart go, but the team couldn't sign him and Richard Jefferson to max deals since they already have Kidd signed to a $100M deal.
Anyone predicting a Detroit - Denver NBA finals?

2. You're right, Denver is going to be scary |
|
Adding Kenyon to the mix, especially with my man Carmelo is a scary combination.
I wonder what Dallas and Mark Cuban is thinking right now. It seemed just a few weeks ago like they were ready to make some big moves. They have the money for it but then Shaq goes to Miami and Kobe may stay in LA, maybe. If Kobe goes and Dallas doesn't snag him then Cuban should just shut his big fat face.

3. I'm not that hot on Nene or Camby |
|
But let's discuss the Pistons - Rasheed and McDyess!
and in the West, KG is not to be denied. If Sam stays healthy...

Well, let's see:
Marcus Camby: Let's see if he can put two decent seasons together.
Kenyon Martin: Total cancer. Chased Keith van Horn out of town because KVH disappeared in the finals. The next year? KMart disappeared in the Finals against Duncan.
Yeah, Denver's going to be good. But they're way down the list.
Right now, I put the West:
San Antonio Minnesota Sacramento Memphis a bunch of good teams Lakers Seattle Clippers
Also, let's remember that KMart is going to have to go up against the power forwards of the west, not the east, on a regular basis.
And realignment's a-comin'. That throws a wrench in everything!
