White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan announced this evening that President George W. Bush* will meet with a group of African-Americans.

"President Bush* understands the needs and problems of the African-American community. After dinner this evening, he will meet on the back porch of the White House with a group of White House stewards and waitpersons. He anticipates a frank exchange of ideas."

When asked if the group, or a representative, would be made available to the White House press corps, McClellan declined comment.
