Who here got me to relisten to the Who?
Someone here posted something about the Who - and now I'm listening to all their stuff over again...and I never liked the Who much.

But for some reason, the music just fits the day, especially "The Seeker"

2. my favorite song by the who
whenever I feel down I get out "The Who Live at Leeds".
I play the side with the 14 1/2 minute version of "My Generation" and "Magic Bus". I play it loud and for some reason it always cheers me. I think I will play it now.

3. The Problem With The Who
is that the hook-lines are repeated ad nauseam in practically all their songs. Think about it.

Not that other songwriters aren't guilty of this, but I can't think of any major acts whose songs follow this formula to such an infinite degree.

4. I agree, and usually I don't like the Who
But it's been a day full of angst and rage for myself, and a lot of people around me...so the Who fits perfectly into that mood.

6. might be me and Colo Dem
both of us posted Who threads. I have been relistening to their stuff in the car. I always liked them, esp. Pete, and my so pulled out Rough Mix ( solo Pete with Ronnie Lane) and it is really good. I prefer the older mod stuff, but the bombastic and emotional stuff can be really good if you are in the mood. Plus great guitar and drums. I like how emotional Pete's lyrics are.

5. Ahhhh the Who!
I don't listen to their recorded music very much, but they put on one hell of a live show. I had only seen a concert tape of the wild Who on stage, but I finally saw them live about six years ago. I was expecting old gays that were a pale image of the great band they had once been. I sure was wrong. They were still wild on stage, and it is easily one of the best concerts I've been to.

:hippie:
