What's the deal with Nancy Grace?
She keeps popping up on my television, railing against Scott Peterson.

One would think it's "personal".

1. She is unwatchable!
Talk about having a bias. She is annoying as all hell. All she does is make pronouncements. All I see of her I see on commercials. I've never watched her show.

4. I've never watched her show, either
but she's ALWAYS on television!!

Plus, she sat in for Neal Boortz earlier this week (he's on vacation).

It seems Scott Peterson has consumed her entire life.

2. This creature
is the most judgemental wench I've ever witnessed. Everyone accused of a crime is guilty, especially if they're black. She spews hatred for a living.

5. I seriously think that her victimization
has something seriously to do with her stand on this issue. Wasn't she raped or something back in the day? Why do I think she also watched a boyfriend die or something? She's not unbiased enough to be a spectator on Court TV.

6. Her fiance was brutally murdered
two weeks before their wedding. Very tragic of course. But unfortunately, it seems to have left her a very bitter person with a huge chip on her shoulder. She seems so angry all the time. I hope she can find peace one day. Its not good to live like this.

20. I, too, feel terrible for what she
went through. She said in an interview that he was the true love of her life, and she's never married or been involved with anyone else since and she said it's very likely that she never will. At the urging of her friends and family, she went for counseling soon after it happened; when she asked the counselor "can you bring Keith back?" and he said no, obviously, she got up and walked out and never went back.

But for God's sake, that was almost TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO!!! HELLO, Nancy, you need to MOVE ON!!!! I certainly can't say "get over it" because, number one, I've absolutely hated that expression since it's been thrown in our faces by the repukes for the past four years, and second, you never really quite "get over" something like that happening to you. But you learn to deal with it and move on with your life. At least most people do. Nancy, on the other hand, has remained stuck 25 years in the past and is making everyone else pay for the mountain-sized chip on her shoulder. She automatically assumes everyone's guilty no matter what, and anyone who tries to point out that there might be reason to suggest that someone may not be guilty is automatically the devil in her book. Someone like that should NEVER be a prosecutor, NOT EVER, as she was for many years before joining Court TV.

She seems to think that everyone who's arrested for something is the equivalent of her fiance's murderer, and you never, ever want someone like that as a prosecutor, especially considering the power they have. Most prosecutors want to get to the truth, they don't want to put innocent people away anymore than anyone else does, but not her and her type; they're actually quite dangerous to have as prosecutors. Judgmental, self-righteous and arrogant as hell, and they automatically assume anyone who's arrested is guilty no matter what. They're as bad as the high-priced defense lawyers who'll twist everything and get anyone off, no matter what they did, for the right amount of money.

And her obsession with Scott Peterson is, to say the least, a little disturbing.

25. Hey Midori, I take full responsibility for attacking her looks.
I'm sorry, I hate that woman with a passion. She sounds like Liddy Dole on speed. Yes, I did point out her extremely flared nostrils, but she had it coming!;)

19. She's a former prosecutor. Which is funny
Edited on Fri Jul-16-04 08:39 PM by Argumentus
because I know LOTS of current prosecutors, and they all swear that the police OFTEN get it wrong, and occasionally they a prosecutor tries the wrong person (not that this is a surprise to anyone, but, at least in private, all the DA's I know will admit it).

Edit: Too manhy adjectives

Hillary Clinton and Bill Bradley, according to newsmeat. That surprised me. I thought for sure she was a right wingut.

21. Hey, Mike-
Both of us being in the legal field, I think we're well aware of just how flawed the criminal justice system really is, and how far more innocents than people would ever want to even think about get caught up in it. And, to be fair, that includes defense attorneys as well.

15. Hey, she's been outdoors all week and hasn't burst into flame yet
I'll give her that at least. Inexplicably, they've been taping in a Redwood City parking lot all week (or at least through Wednesday; I think maybe she did burst into flame yesterday. Anyway she wasn't there.)

Evilest shill from an evil bunch at CourtTV; I had heard this silly thing about defendants being innocent until proven guilty. Apparently they haven't.

28. Rumors that she's in line to replace Larry King
Edited on Sat Jul-17-04 10:50 AM by kskiska
I remember reading a while back how CNN has Nancy in mind to replace Larry. Larry hates her and is forced to have her on as a frequent guest. CNN even trotted her out to participate in Larry's birthday celebration program. Larry didn't appreciate the gesture.
