Corona Light is worst of all?

I tend to doubt it's worse than Three Stooges Beer.

In the late 80's I used to drink Fosters now and then, both the Blue and the Green cans - 25 oz cans, of course and remember it as being pretty decent beer. Canadians aren't supposed to ruin beer, but they fucked up Fosters.

Or so my theory goes - that no one ever likes the beer their dad drank.

Back when my dad drank beer, he bought cheap-ass bottled beers by the case, stuff like Blatz and Kingsbury.

77. No, the water itself was actually good.
There are several Artesian wells in the Olympia area and the brewery just happenned to be built near one of them, which they used as the source. So you can't blame the water for the shitty beer.

Of course, you can get GOOD beer made with artesian water here....

13. It's a cheap-ass Mexican beer
Even in Mexico, the only way they tolerate it is with salt and lime -- like tequila. Only in the last ten years or so has it become really popular with the gringos, and that's largely due to marketing.

29. Nope. Corona is the marketing world's greatest achievement.
Take a crap beer (stuff that once was the cheapest thing on the shelf), put it in a fancy bottle and convince yuppies to spend ridiculous sums on it.

I've always rolled my eyes when I see friends throw away their money of this rank fluid.

I beg you to stop. There's a whole world of beer with good flavor that awaits you, most of it at a discount by comparison.

It's paler than my pee from a hangover. Tastes even worse. Acrid, thin, no body, no flavor, and putrid. Most Mexcian beer sucks, although Negra Modelo is okay, or Dos Equis Amber, but I only drink those at Mexican restaurants because they are better than the domestic choices.

In my case, that'd be the beerly departed Safeway store brand of the early '80s, Scotch Buy. Teenagers are stupid.

Honorable mention: While in Germany a few years later, I came across a beer that was brewed with COLA. It tasted just like you'd imagine.

57. yes; those bottled pop/beer mixes are awful
Mixing Beer and soft-drinks has a history in Germany (Alster/Radler/Diesel/Potsdamer/...) and France ("Panache").
In the sight of the rapidly dropping German beer consumption, the breweries had the "great" idea to sell them pre-mixed in bottles :puke: .
It's marketed as a low-alc summer/party drink.

Personally I don't like either the bottled or the unbottled type. With the exception of the original Berliner Weisse that is.

19. Click on their "best beers" list
These are some fucked-up people. Shouldn't the "100 best beers" be "100 best beers you can fucking find"? Yeah, Goat Scrotum Ale from a brewery that's only licensed to make 8000 gallons a year belongs on a best-beer list.

And come on--Budweiser? I mean, Budweiser is beer for people who don't like beer, but lots of beers are like that and Budweiser is a damn good example of this genre. It's actually drinkable. Try saying that about Schaefer.

47. Finding good beer can be aproblem...
The trick is to find the distributors for the brews you want to try. Then you find a liquor store who's willing to order them for you. My experience is that once the liquor stores realize that there's a local market for interesting and sometimes exotic beer, they start stocking it.

21. Not a single one.
I guess I'm picky. I didn't learn to like beer until I was married to a home-brewer for 12 years. Now that my supply of homebrew (and other things) is cut off, I'm always looking for something I like. I like beer dark and thick. Usually a porter or a stout. Right now I'm drinking a Young's Double Chocolate Stout from Trader Joe's. Sounds bad, but goes down smooth and creamy.

My dad was an alumnus of the Colorado School of Mines in Golden. Once a year, when I was a kid, he'd get together with his alumni association buddies for a picnic, and they'd all drink Coors. They swore that Coors was the only true beer.

The mascot for the School of Mines was the "Mines Burro".

Woo-Hoo! At least I'll be drinking some quality stuff today instead of any of that list! :bounce:

I'm not suprised that that list is all American, but the worst beer I've ever tasted is a beer from a local brewery called Ridley's Rumpus. Foul, unpalatable stuff that gives you an upset stomach, and a massive hangover the next morning. I find it impossible to bring myself to drink even a half of the stuff.

I'm a member of the Campaign for Real Ale, and the fact that Ridley's CAMRA branch liason officer has been publicly slating the brewery recently shopuld be more than enough to ring the alarm bells about that brewery.

Aside from that aberration I would also mention the usual lagers such as Fosters, Rolling Rock etc.

65. EKU from Austria I think.... about 15% alc and tastes like puke.
Gosser is another AWFUL Austrian beer.

Austria, home of Hitler, pastries, and Terrible shitty high alcohol content beer. High in alcohol, because you couldn't possibly drink 2.

66. EKU is from Kulmbach, Germany
It is made at a monastery that issues each monk four litres of beer a day. It helps them to see God. It also helps maintain the stylish "as wide as he is tall" physique of the average Bavarian monk.

Drink four litres of EKU and you'll be seeing God too.

70. EKU is really too strong, and it does taste bad.
The high alcohol content really kills the flavor.

80. You only thought it tasted like puke because that;'s what you were doing..
..after finishing that 6 pack.

Seriously though, the thing the Austrians and Germans got wrong with humans, they got right with beer. Purity is the key. Uh, with beer, I mean.

Never made it over there yet, but I've heard that you can get completely shitfaced on their beer and not get a hangover, because it's the impurities, rather than the alcohol itself that gives you the hangover symptoms. Though my own ammendment to that logic would be that dehydration is a major component of hangovers, and that definitely would be the alcohol. Of course, just drink lots of water before the beer, and when you wake up and that will work

I was at a party with some friends last year and tried a little. It went quickly down the sink.
