Has everybody been especially deluged with spam in the last few days?
Particularly the sexually-explicit photos ones? Or am I paying the price for downloading the free version of AVG? (Relatedly, and to keep this whole thing in question marks, did anybody else get a deluge of spam after signing up with AVG?)

1. I've been getting hit hard.
The hot stock picks one is driving me nuts. Keep getting one with a persons name and "none" in the subject line. It is really getting difficult to conduct retail sales on the web when you have to sort thru what have gotten to be over a 1000 emails per day, at least in my case. The thing that really sucks is that I would have to go in and change all of my websites if I change my email address to get out from under it. The spam thing is really getting to be a problem and is starting to really piss me off. Rant Over....

3. Well, it sucks, but you can go with plan B
which is to go to all your sites and put NOSPAM in the middle of the email addresses (and take out the hypertext of course) and put a very apologetic note to your customers that because of spambots you had to take this step and asking them please to cut and paste the address, deleting the NOSPAM part, in order to contact you. Pretty drastic as you never want to make it harder for customers to contact you, but if you do the other thing (get a new email address), the spambots will find you again within a month or so.

2. Me too, but I don't use AVG.
The latest ones are for the cheating housewives/married women and the ones from Monique and Tiffany.

4. Well, I'm glad at least for the indication that it wasn't due to AVG
My best to Monique and Tiffany :)
