ignorant mac user - trying to listen to itunes radio get "network stalled"
message window it cuts out the music, then it rebuffers and music comes back on but then shortly does the routine again

it does this when i listen to 56kbps

when i listen to 32 or below , it lets me listen
but of course this really limits the options

what do i have to do to increase the listening or is it because i have dial up (earthlink)

thanks so much for any help... im brand new to os x so there is a ton i have to learn

ps: any good sites you would recommend for me that would help me with panther (10.2)?

1. I'm not using OSX yet, but...
...your connection speed is probably the problem, not your OS. Streaming A/V media on anything less than broadband is quixotic - I gave up even trying until I got DSL.

2. it's your dial-up
your modem is MAXIMUM 56K throughput, but you're probably lucky to get 48K... that's why a 56K stream won't fit through a 48K hole.

5. A tip that may help
Go to the Edit menu then preferences. Click the advanced tab and set "Streaming Buffer Size" to large.

7. Oops
I am looking at the Windows version of iTunes. There should be a similar setting in there somewhere I would think.
