For the first time in a long time I am treating myself to some big boy goodies. I installed a new stereo with Sirius satellite radio. I'm getting myself a new computer that I am putting together and a new digital camera. I'm also tricking out my HOTAS which is a flight stick and throttle combo as I like to mess around with flight simulations. Why do I feel so guilt ridden. My kids still have college funds. My wife just got a new patio with new furniture. Dammit! I want to enjoy this!
P.S. And if you thought I was going to admit to an affair or something, shame on you. ;)

I am actually taking advantage of Texas' now closed program whereby I pay today's rates for my kids' tuitions in the future. So I think that is a pretty good deal. My wife and I are also making payments to our Teacher Retirment System and we have two Roth retirement funds so I think I am preparing for retirement as well. Not too much left as discretionary income but we are comfortable and I have a lot more than others so I really can't complain.
