3. While I love me some Circle Jerks... |
|
Comparing them to the Dead Kennedys is like comparing fart jokes to Shakespeare...
Just MHO, of course...;)

5. Overall, the DK's, of course |
|
But songs like "Paid Vacation" and "When The Shit Hits The Fan" even the most political of punks could approve of. And let's face it, "Jerks on 45" was not only a significant improvement to all of the cheesy 70's songs they covered, but a perfect slam against all those godawful disco-ized medleys going around at the time "stars on 45" (Beatles ripoff) "Hooked on classics", etc.
That being said, there's also no discounting the fact that if the 7" single "Moral Majority"/"Nazi Punks FUCK OFF" had been the only Dead Kennedys record ever released, they would still OWN the title of West Coast punk heavyweight champions.
Musically speaking, of course. I don't think Jello's all that heavy.
My only problem with the poll is WHERE'S D.O.A.??
