1. Funny!
I like the way you made the Chimp look like a chimp-all he needs is a tail.

BTW, any Old Order Amish I know don't vote and won't vote. I'm not surprised that Chimp didn't know that, though.

Old Order Amish do not even recognie the laws of the United States or of any state. So of course they don't vote. As far as they're concerned, they are not US citizens and not bound by US laws.
However, they're easy to get along with and find ways to cooperate with the rest of us, and with the laws of the country as far as possible.
But I'm surprised by how many DUers reacted to Bush visiting the Amish but missed this essential point - the Amish do not acknowledge the laws of the US as their own laws.

3. Sort of like getting a visit from a "Foreign Dignitary", eh?

"So, this is the leader of 'The English', eh? Seems to be an odd fella, talking about God all the time...Remember that Carter fella? Helped us raise a barn? I wouldn't let this man touch a hammer. Might hurt somebody..."

Rove's REALLY desperate if he's fishing for votes among the Old Order....

5. HAHA! YES!
YES! Good one!
I mean, I grew up very nearby the Amish. And they're beyond the best people in the world - because hardly any Human can live the way they do. If there are any truly pure Christians in the world, they're the Amish.
And Smirk knew nothing of this.
And he didn't have a clue as to why they tolerated him. They didn't welcome him. They TOLERATED him, because they're pure Christians and they don't want to offend or cause any pain to anyone.
Smirk visiting the Amish? In Pennsylvania? (God's own chosen land, I say! Paradise! Or what's left of it, what the developers haven't ruined yet.)
It's like the antichrist visiting Jesus and the Twelve Apostles.
It's like Emperor Caligula visiting Jesus (well, an anachronism there, but still) and asking Jesus to vote for him.`
